ERCOT

Electric Reliability Council of Texas

ERCOT manages the flow of electric power to more than 26 million Texas customers. As ERCOT transitions its legacy power generation assets to renewable energy, they called on WattBridge. WattBridge is delivering a fast, safe and cost-effective pathway to greener, more sustainable energy future for the residents of Texas.

ERCOT At a Glance

LM6000 Technology

Quick start, highly efficient gas-fired aeroderivative turbines will be at-the-ready to support their renewable power counterparts. As part of ProEnergy’s state-of-the-art PowerFLX technology package, this platform is equipped to burn up to 40% hydrogen today with a pathway to 100% hydrogen in the next 10 years.

Energy Storage

With a projected COD of summer 2022 WattBridge has 800MWh of short-term energy storage in advanced stages of development. Equivalent to approximately 320 modern wind turbines, this storage technology will capture off-line energy production of renewables, increasing their net output while further reducing emissions.

1152 MW

WattBridge will construct, own and operate 1152 MW of peaker power on 3 sites across the region with an additional 1500 MW in advanced stages of development.

Unrivaled Cost

WattBridge delivers the lowest installed cost per kW in the industry without compromising performance or reliability. Leveraging ProEnergy’s state-of-the-art PowerFLX technology.
